Since you are in Texas go check out PPL Motorhomes. Lots to choose from and no pressure from what I hear.
We've been to two of their locations and found a couple "possibles", but no great deals. In my opinion, they have the biggest collection of run down, abused and just plain poor motor homes in the state, at least in the price and year range we're looking at. Granted, they don't own most of the coaches for sale so they don't have a lot to do with their condition. Many of them don't look like the owner did anything to prepare them for sale except hurriedly remove their stuff and drop it off. Some don't even look like they were washed. We walked into coaches that smelled, had obvious roof leaks, had stained carpets and furniture or just looked worn out. It's like the owners just decided that it was too much trouble or too expensive to fix the coach and wanted to ditch it. The problem is their asking price doesn't reflect the condition of the motor home. They are primarily a consignment facility and have a large inventory. Maybe the sheer number of motor homes for sale means they will have a commensurate number of lemons.
