Glad i did not buy the tiffin we just looked at
How many other manufacturers can you name that will repair at no cost items on coaches that are far out of warranty? Red Bay is a long drive just to get an oil change or new wipers for most owners. This service is intended for repairs that the local service dealer can't or won't deal with.
Well, let's see.....Forest River, Entegra, Jayco, and American Coach and I would bet there are others. Tiffin hardly has the customer service market cornered.
I would think that Tiffin owners would be concerned about the change in policy with there still being so many manufacturing issues out there like cracked roofs, cracked end caps, rotting wet bays, and slide issues.
The issues you listed are mostly units way out of warranty and Tiffin fixes them for free. NONE of the OEM's you listed would EVER do that. The issues you mentioned are NOT that common or widespread, except for the water bay floor area and that was on older units. Doug
I, and others have had Forest River fix things that were out of warranty. I have heard of others who have had the same experience with the other manufacturers I mentioned.
Tiffin has had some very major structural issues with their motorhomes which result in some people actually having their roof replaced three times. Yes Tiffin will fix the issues, but most of the issues were caused by faulty engineering, design, and installation. We are not talking about minor issues here, but major structural flaws. Will Tiffin repair them? Yes they will, but these are issues that never should have occurred in the first place.
Tiffin has always made a good product, but the last several years have seen some huge problems that are scary for those that have the issues arise. I hope Tiffin gets their act in order. It would be nice to see them return to the prominence they once held.
