Yup it was the factory. Had been a problem with the factory so many times I assumed wiring issue so this one is on me and I am thrilled. I usually also look to the simple but this time not and never dreamt I had made that error. Another lesson is don't work in the dark especially when you are tired. I have rarely felt this foolish and so good about it.
