Over inflation of a tire is what makes it handle poorly, especially if the tires are new. Just because a tire requires more PSI for the weight it's carrying does not mean it's over inflated. Instead of putting six 295/80.22.5 tires on the back of my DP ($$$$) I went with 11R22.5 which required an increase from 80 to 90 psi because the 11R22.5 has a lower load rating than a 295. Increasing by 10 psi has not changed the handling at all.
