We have a 2007 Winnebago Journey with original Michelin RV extended life rubber tires. Our RV is stored in an enclosed barn and we keep the outside of the tires coated with armorall UV protectant tire shine material. Tires are not showing any obvious signs of cracking and have about 30K miles on them with plenty of tread life remaining. Our question is what is the life expectancy of these special RV tires? How often should they be replaced?
You should check the manufacture date of your tires. Most likely sometime in '06 which puts you at 7 years. Many consider 7 years to be the sweet spot for replacement. The only way to know for sure is to run them until one blows and then turn the clock back one day. If you are fairly conservation and dread problems on the road then you need to be shopping.
Another poster warned about Protest All and suggested 303 Protectant.
