- carp65ExplorerHankook tires are great! Had all new ones put on our first motorhome replacing
the original Goodyear's. A world of difference in ride and handling. Also
put 4 new ones on our 2001 Tracker. Great tire and reasonably price. - howdy35Explorer IIHave run Toyo and Sumitoma since 2003 and have found either to be a very good tire. Recently put (6) 245/75/22.5 on my MH for $1860 out the door. Have been happy with them. I did not have them balanced nor did I put balancing beads in them. I personally would stay away from Goodyear and Michelin seems to be too high for me.
Best of luck on your choice. None of them are cheap. - SprigExplorer

Budget allows me to get either...
Ask the place you are purchasing the tires from to order one of each so that you can inspect them yourself.
There is quite a bit of difference between the printed number ratings on a piece of paper and the actual real world finished product. - mike_brezExplorerI'm running Samsons on mine

Getting new tires. 275-70-R22.5
Budget allows me to get either:
1. Hankook AH37 J-Rated tire
OR
2. Sumitomo ST727 H-Rated tire
Any feedback would be appreciated.
I've heard positive things about both tires on this site.
I have the Sumitomo ST727 I haven't had them a year but they are smoother than the goodyears that were less ply tire. I was told the Japanese make a good tire by a few truckers that recomended Sumitomo. - jplante4Explorer IIHad Hankooks on the gasser and was very happy. A lot of tire for the price.
I have Yokohamas on the DP. How does their price compare at that size? I have RY023s G rated 16 ply. - SusanDallasExplorerI have purchased both Toyo and Hankook over the years. The Hankook tires are the best. My first set of Hankook tires had a 45,000 mile guarantee. At 100,000 mile, they still had enough tread to pass the yearly inspection. I love these tires and will always purchase Hankooks.

I was considering the Hankook but decided on Toyo M154 tires and they should be in the same price range. Toyos were recommended by a trucking company owner. But I don't think you can go wrong with the tires you are considering.
Thanks for the feedback. I too would like the TOYOs, but I could not find a TOYO in the 275/70 size, H-Rated anywhere in my area, and tire shops in this area don't cooperate well with online tire dealers. - scbwrExplorer III was considering the Hankook but decided on Toyo M154 tires and they should be in the same price range.
