I'd say you have a defective unit. 5 PSI reduction discrepancy is too much IMO. I've had my tireminder for many years and it has been spot on between a handheld pressure gage and Tireminder sensors, warm or cold tires. I can see a 5PSI + variance on the monitor between cold and warm tires though. Larry 2014 Reyo P
