Unfortunately for the police what happened is a pretty low priority and as bad as it may be it's basically minor property damage. All the locks, light, cameras, dogs, razor wire,,,, won't stop a determined thief. At best all we can do is attempt to limit potential losses if you have no choice and have to use off site storage.
I'm fortune and have the my coach is the driveway but that is still no guarantee even with motion lights and cameras I have around the house. My efforts may stop thieves of opportunity but it's pretty obvious when we're not a home. Worst fear is the homestead when we're on the road. Kind of hard to miss a 30' RV no longer in the driveway but that is why I have insurance and a well documented inventory of stuff.
