Toad &a brake assist

I am towing a Honda CR-V l, weight 3500 lbs, do I really need a brake assist
In the car? Seems like a lot of hassle.

  • Braking units are a good idea.
    I have an SMI stay-n-play.
    The Roadmaster invisibrake is very similar.
    Nice thing is you do not have to move it when you want to drive toad.
    The unit is semi-permanent install and just have to turn on power.
  • It is required in most states another thing is it will help stopping your rig when braking also save some wear on the motorhome brakes. I away use one and I only pull 2200 LBS it makes a difference.
  • In many (but not all) states it is mandatory. But in even more states a breakaway system is required so...

    What is you state's law?
