Be warned. Stay off the 407 in Ontario. It has to be the most expensive toll road in all of North America.

They collect tolls to escape NJ. If the toll was to get into NJ, the entire state would be empty. :)

I-70 (W) to Indianapolis, IN. From Indianapolis take I-74 (NE) to Davenport, IA. I-80 (W) to your northern hyway to BC or your entry point to Canada. I am going this route in 2015 from I-77 to I-70 W.
Or you could just set your gps to "Avoid toll roads" and go the way the wind sends you.

In Houston, toll roads are a part of life. All our vehicles, including the RV, have windshield sensors so we can just go through the toll plazas at speed. No lines!

Try not to use them. FYI avoid the toll road around Denver. We once went on the toll up to WY then returned the same route small class c towing a small car total for the ride up and back $75.00. That my friends is ridiculous. Look up the complains from locals about this road AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE.

All the people who avoid them makes them all the better to use. WAY less traffic.

In a hurry, not in a hurry.. makes no difference. The more traffic, the more stress.

What I really dislike is the long toll roads where you pick up a ticket at the start. That part isn't too bad eliminates stopping all the time BUT if you get off before 'their' determined end the unmanned toll booth at the exit requires exact change......and the fact you don't know what the charge is for your MH and toad!:R

There are a bunch of them that cross the Delaware River. Which one were you on?

Yes, there are a bunch of Delaware River crossings, many of them free. However, even on a lot of the free bridges, the toll commission has a person posted there 24/7 on EACH SIDE to make sure trucks don't cross the free bridge. This is not due to safety concerns, just loss of revenue and to place someone in a patronage position.
