Don't know how much you know about these transmissions, but failure of OD in a 4L60E (most likely your tranny) is likely a cheap fix, a solenoid, speed sensor, OD switch (if equipped), and a half dozen other things.
If reverse and 2nd work fine, chances are your fix will be a cheap one and not require a full-blown rebuild.

This is true but the washer that is behind the pump seal must have slid forward because it is pouring fluid out from the front, I thought I would just go ahead and rebuild it because it will already be taking out so what the heck, Ya think a good performance rebuild in a box would work good, I know you have heard of the rebuild in a box, Anyway with the transmission out on the work bench why not go ahead with a rebuild, At least update the clutches and steels, I also thought I would go with the better built drum/Hub with thicker splines and hub, and would like the use the Corvette servo, It shifts 123 and R works good too, Just no OD and the fluid pouring out the front, Ya know it leaks where the pump is, Again I bet you know about the sleeve that is behind the pump seal, There bad to slide forward and cause it to leak.
