Don't know how much you know about these transmissions, but failure of OD in a 4L60E (most likely your tranny) is likely a cheap fix, a solenoid, speed sensor, OD switch (if equipped), and a half dozen other things.
If reverse and 2nd work fine, chances are your fix will be a cheap one and not require a full-blown rebuild.
