When my husband retires, we would very much like to spend a good part of our life on the road, though probably coming short of being full timers.
If I were setting it up today, I would get one of the larger Trail Manors (we currently have the smallest trail manor, which we love, but it does not have a bathroom, and a very tiny kitchen) and we would tow it with a Sportmobile conversion. I would go for something a little toned down. I would want a fridge and a sink with water. I might want a stove. I would get a porta potti with a good compartment. and a comfy place to eat and rest inside. I would probably not get a bed. I would want to save space for storage. It would probably be a 4WD. So, yes, as we go off for the day we can eat lunch, be comfy and get anywhere we want. The sportsmobile would look as much like a plain old van as we could get it to look.
