Who connected the 7-way to the motorhome? Did they use the factory trailer lighting wiring? Or splice into the coach wiring?
The trailer tow wiring in the E-series is a separate circuit, protected by mini-blade fuses in the power distribution box under the hood. This a good place to start.
Lastly, I assume the coach's lights were verified?
