I know it's not always possible, but have you thought about just trading the Yukon in on a Jeep Wrangler? If that works, they are super easy to flat tow. No wheel strapping, no ignition switch on or fuses to pull, easy to install the base plate (or just upgrade the whole front bumper into one that has the tow bar attachments built in already). Weight is much less than the Yukon (only about 4,200#) and that's for the 4-door Unlimited. We definitely love ours. Outfitted with the Invisibrake and you don't even know it's there!
