This subject has been brought up several times. We are on our second CR-V, first the 2007 and now the 2013. I was also disappointed to see that I will not have a choice to tow a Honda in the future. They are great cars.
I was not wanting to get a Jeep as I had two in the past that were not the most reliable. Both had to be towed in the dealer under warranty as they just died leaving me stranded. They were both new at the time, a 1996 and 1999 Grand Cherokee Limited's. Maybe they are better now, I would sure hope so.
I really wanted to keep the tow vehicle below 4,000 lbs, the Honda weighs about 3,500 which is perfect. After driving the BIG motorhome all day, it's nice to jump in a small car that fits in most parking places with ease.
Maybe Remco makes a pump or some type of disconnect for the newer Honda's, I'll have to check into that.
Safe travels,
MM.
