I use a wrangler and the only time I know it is there is when i look in the rear camera. Backing up more than a few feet is out so you do need to be careful but the only time this has been an issue is in a truck stop trying to stop for the night.

I went from a TH \ F-350 to Class A, I'm much happier now as I don't have to unload toys and convert the living space in the TH anymore.
As you mentioned, I just detach toad, pull-in, level, extend slide and hook up (50amp, water, sewer).
With my F-350 CC PSD FX4 Lariat LB, I never got the sway at all, but I did when I had my F-250 CC PSD FX4 XLT SB and was being passed by semi's.
