Check the tow hitch rating carefully. Intermediate sized A's often have 5000 pound hitches (my 32-footer does). It's not until you get up to the bigger diesel pushers that 10,000 or more is the norm.
Our daily driver (actually our only other vehicle)is an '03 Kia Sedona, which we bought quite some time before the RV. I was disappointed to find that it weighed 4800 pounds and would cost more than it's worth to modify it for four-down towing.
I'm looking into alternatives, but don't want the weight and complexity of AWD. We need a wagon, because of our two big dogs. Maybe a dolly-tow Jetta or Passat wagon.
Any ideas would be appreciated. I'd be particularly interested if anyone knows whether the Saturn LW-300, with an auto trans, can be flat-towed without modification.
