We have a 4ftx8ft harbor freight folding trailer with 12 in tires.
Pulled it behind the Motorhome from Coast to Coast and back. Carry one spare...easy to get replacements at Walmart or Harbor Freight or ??
We also carry one spare bearing. Got the spare bearing at O'Reilly auto parts.
Before leaving we removed the bearings removed the original grease and re-greased with quality wheel bearing grease.
Made sure our hitch was adjusted to keep the trailer level.
Learnings:
- Correct tire pressure is important. Put max pressure in the tires as we were at about 75% of capacity.....wore the center of the tread out. Correct pressure would have been about 35lbs pressure.
- Don't have to swing wide on corners..trailer is narrow and short enough that if the duals clear the curb the trailer will to.
- With small tires speed bumps effect the trailer more than the motothome.
- Backing up is interesting even with a back up camera to watch the trailer.
- Easy to forget its back there.
