Towing with class c Jayco
Just traded in my travel trailer for a Jayco class c, so I am new to towing. Jayco shows 5000 lb towing capacity and I need to think about buying a car which will be compatible. Any suggestions out there?

Same as listed above other than start the motor every 500 miles towed. I never drove over 500 miles in a single day so not hard to comply.

New 2015 King Cab.- If you want a comfortable and fuel efficient toad, look no further than the Ford Fusion hybrid. Or perhaps the Ford C-Max hybrid would work for you. Check them out. Easy hook-up for towing - - no battery to disconnect or fuses to pull.

Same as listed above other than start the motor every 500 miles towed. I never drove over 500 miles in a single day so not hard to comply. - I second the Subaru. I have towed 2 of then over a period of 12 years with no problems. They are also my daily driver.
- How about a Jeep Wrangler? They can be towed four-down with either a 5 speed or auto transmission. Cost more than a Subaru and don't get as good gas mileage, but you can do a lot of exploring in one and they hold their value quite well.
- If you want a standard transmission, all Subaru's with standard tranmission can be towed 4 down. Full time 4 wheel drive. High clearance. No routine to go through before towing or so many miles/hours. No speed or distance restrictions.
1. release parking brake
2. put transmission in neutral
3. turn key 1 click to unlock steering and go
No Subaru with an automatic transmission can be towed any way but 4 wheels up on a trailer.
