I really do like the Sprinter motorhomes. I think they are cute and compact and would be really great for traveling. The wet bath is a deal killer for us though. We use our bathroom and I have no desire to deal with the inconvenience of the wet bath.
We looked for a small motorhome to take to Alaska. We never found one with all the features we wanted in our price range. We bought a 2004 RVision Trail-Lite. It is 22 feet long and has a bath across the back with a bathtub. It was still cramped compared to our Phaeton, but it was sufficient and we used it a lot on our trip to Alaska last year. It also "almost" parked in one parking space wherever we went.
We decided to keep the little one after our Alaska trip so we could do some traveling on the east coast in a smaller vehicle. We just bought a Mazda Miata to tow behind her. The Miata is under 3000 lbs and is a fun car to drive.

Just wanted to let you know you might want to check on towing your Miata. We have a 2010 with a manual and ours is not flat towable. That is the reason that we just ordered a new 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek. It weighs just over 3000# also and is AWD with a manual.
We are buying a 2015 Winnebago View Profile. We pick it up this week so needed something light to tow behind it. I also need/want AWD because I like to explore on not very nice roads lots of time when we travel. My wife tells me if there is a dead end road around I'll find it. :B
