You should have checked some of the threads HERE. I towed a 2000 Miata 5-speed over 35,000 miles and have now towed my 2010 and my 2012 6-speed retractable hardtops over 20,000 miles.
In the past 8 years, I have helped nearly 100 other Miata owners (MANY still on this forum) to get their Miatas RV towable.

That's what I get for believing the manuals. I would like to be able to tow the Miata also at times so I'll have to look it to it also.
