Understand I am a happy owner of the TireMinder system. However, having said that, if you do not get 5 years or so of free batteries for the transmitters, it appears to me that there is not a lot of difference in long term cost between replaceable batteries and "non replaceable" units. When I look at the cost of batteries over 5 years (which is how long the batteries in my Pressure-Pro transmitters lasted) it makes the cost of replacing the transmitters much more reasonable. In addition the transmitters are simpler, no threaded covers and gaskets.
Anyway, just a thought. As I said I still like my Tire Minders and don't regret getting them, especially with the 5 years of free batteries and the superb customer service.
