To answer your question.
I have the system that you are looking at I am very happy with it. The lifetime warranty sold me,it also came with extra batteries and O rings.
My RV is 27 ft long with no toad and it works perfect,as a test I took one of the Wireless Tire Pressure Sensors about 15 ft from the rear of the RV and attached it to another car and it still worked just fine.
You could always get the system and test it and see if you really need the repeater.
