trailer hitch problem

bought used 2013 Jayco class c. Getting it set up to toad Honda crv. Have blue ox tow bar set up installed on Honda. When I try to put the 2" ball into receptacle on mh the hole on the left side of recpt is smaller than on the right side. The pin will go thru the right side, thru the ball shaft, but will not go out the other side. The hole is to small. It's factory near as I can tell. Is there a reason for this???? and what can I do about it?

Thanks

  • Well, one size was smaller then the other. I contacted Jayco and they said it was a factory installed trailer hitch and that they had never heard of such a thing. They recommended the same thing Phillyg recommended, which I did, and something that has never happened before was fixed in faster than it took to hook up the extension cord to the drill.
  • If one hole is truly smaller, just run the proper size drill bit thru it.
  • I am kind of confused by your question. Maybe a picture would help. Now that I think about it maybe the pin you are using might be bent just enough that it will not go through. JMO
