Transit B+ Weights

I see that most of the companies are developing Transit floorplans, and starting to show them on websites.

Does anyone have one, and can you report what it weighs according to the factory weight sticker? I am wondering what kind of carrying capacity they have.

  • Cargo carrying capacity is defined at the federal level, I believe. It assumes full fresh water tanks (including the water heater), full LP, empty gray and black water tanks, and also 154 pounds times the number of sleeping positions (as defined by the manufacturer) to account for passengers.

The older OCCC (Occupant and cargo carrying capacity) is similar except it does not include the passenger weights, and so is a bigger number.
  • I'm looking at these (or small Class C's) too. I just read a review of the Winnebago Fuse 23A (w/dinette slideout) on the Transit Diesel chassis, and they said it had 1500 lbs of cargo-carrying capacity. They didn't elaborate if that was including "wet weight" or not - I'm assuming it wasn't? (The Trend, same floorplan, on the Promaster chassis has 1100 lbs)
