Of coarse that little grade from Salt Lake to Evanston will give you some idea what WY is like. (WY is indian word for high desert plains). That is what is encountered east out of Evanston. Evanston has a 62 day growing season. I would take 189 north out of Evanston. Evanston has a little park and info about area. If I recall exit 5. Free dump station. Pretty much up hill to Jackson Hole. I like the Tetons better than Yellowstone.
