We live in Northern Nevada and 395 does not go thru Lake Tahoe!!! You can get to Tahoe by taking the Mt. Rose hyway out of south Reno and it is about 25 miles climbing up a very windy 2 lane road from 4,400 ft to 9,000 ft. Not recommended in an RV.
