Traveling the back roads
How many others take the secondary highway rather than the interstates? We like the little towns along the way. you miss a lot on the freeways.

We are full time and usually look for the back roads. Does take some planning as you can get in trouble with bridge heights, more a problem in the east. If your not full time and are on a schedule freeways get you there the quickest. If we have to use freeways, no choice in big cites, we avoid rush hours, this theory does not work in the puget sound area.
