You can then head for the Pacific coast and take 101 North through San Francisco, Napa Valley , the Redwoods, Crescent City and then Oregon and Washington.
I wouldn't suggest that route to somebody from Florida.
I'm not sure I'd take it and I've driven in mountains a lot.
