I think this whole thing is getting hyped like the millennium was. I called a few days ago and got a campsite just north of Golds Beach. We didn't even consider the eclipse and just called. The only issue they had was getting me one of their limited 50 amp sites where my sat works. Otherwise, they had several sites available. The place isn't a dive either, the highest rated campground in the area.
You can see this from anywhere in the country, why would you run to one spot and bunch up. I think someone hyped it to make money and it will be a big fizzle.
