An alternate to the above would be to pick up (or continue on) the Garden State Parkway at the Woodbridge area all the way south to Cape May and then take the Cape May Lewes Ferry across the Delaware Bay then route 1 along the coast to Ocean City and on to Assateague. The ferry is a nice ride and the way we go when heading for Assateague, which we plan to do next week.
