They have a launch coming up on May 2 might be an interesting side trip for you.
Last winter's trip, we tried to be at Jetty Park Cape Canaveral to coincide with a "scheduled" launch. Of course, being Florida, you needed to make reservations months in advance.
They had a launch the week before we got there, and the first SpaceX launch with a successful booster return the week after we left.
Moral: Don't make campground plans based on when NASA says it will launch a rocket.
