Lots of good ideas...always avoid the GW, and depending on your height, the southern portion of the Garden State is potentially a bad choice due to low bridges.
For us, over the Tappen Zee and down the Garden State Pkwy. Take Rte 80 back to 95/NJ Tpk.

The Lewes ferry is a nice option, but driving on the DelMarVanis not a big deal...
