I don't full time, but what I've done is to move out, then list my house. My last house, with a matching RV garage, sold in one day in 2011. Neighbors were asking when it would be available.
Since you already leave for six months, you might consider starting your full time journey and listing the empty house. By 'empty' I mean that it's ready for a buyer to move in immediately.
