In answer and to comment on some of the posts here, one must remember, that not all can afford to keep a home, buy a nice RV and full time as well, so for making the decision to sell an appreciating asset for a depreciating one, depends on how bad you wish to see America and for how you feel about your heirs.
Now with this situation and for when you can no longer travel, you'll be forced to live it out in your RV and not unlike many, who have moved south into a mobile home or RV park for living out their lives.
