Actually, there are 3 TST systems.

1. The 510 with batteries that could not be replaced by the user.
2. The 507 with batteries that can be replaced by the user.
3. The 507 Flow Thru with batteries that can be replaced by the user.

I have the standard sensors. No problems with my tires and wheels holding pressure all season. Air up the tires in the spring and install the sensors. Pull them off in the fall when I winterize. Removing shuts the sensor off and saves battery life which for me will be fifth summer next year.

I have the internal TST sensors, just like the OEMs on most cars now.

The temperature reading is as accurate as you can get, but I do worry that if one goes out it will be a huge pain to replace.

I have the flow through and love them. No airing problems.

I have the standard TST 507 sensors. I removed the rotating security covers, which makes removing and reinstalling them no different than an ordinary valve cap, and the smaller size makes them a bit less noticeable. There's probably a few grams of weight savings as well, although I don't think that matters much.

I have the flow through but I can't get air through them. It will go through when they are off the tire but when there is pressure against them air won't go through them.

We have the non flow thru 507. Very easy to use the tool and remove them. Have 8 sensors for SRW TV and 2 axle 5 ver. Wish I had bought 2 more for spare tires on TV and 5ver. Got ours from rvpartscountry.com and 2 sensors were $64 a year ago. Now over $100 last time I looked. CW is up there in price as well as Amazon now.

I only have the flo-thru type on the rear duelies and I like em there. Very easy to air up & check. They are too long on the front tires and I'm afraid they could hit something like the curb.
