Like others have said the over head is good for the person nearest the bathroom as long a the other person does not need to get up in the middle of the night. The wife and I have bad knees so we wanted an RV that allowed us to stay no the main level. We almost got a 23.5 ft. Lazy Daze Twin King. I am sure others have model. It features a big bed, not much climbing and even room for the dogs in a short RV with lots of CCC. The down side is the bed area is also the kitchen.
.
If looking for a used RV, given your height you would want a 08 or later because of the extra room in the cab. The company does not attend RV shows so your have to contact a local owners group.
The wife and I were considering this model but decided on a 26.5' Mid bath that has a similar floor plan. Most of the time it is just the two of us, an 80# poodle and a 20# mix going on weekend trips.
To the point about sleeping in the overhead. I have slept in our and found it comfortable. But I was on one of my solo trips and wanted to check out the overhead. I also found the ladder tough on the feet. So if neither of you are up and down a lot in the night it is doable.
