Now that I'm alone, if I hang onto my motorhome (rather than downsizing to a B) and start using it for snow birding, my one couch will be coming out to be replaced by a large work table and a decent chair. That's about all the furniture I actually use at home, besides the bed.
That's what fits my needs, and it would also be the configuration of any custom-built B. But if my wife were still alive, the couch would be replaced by a rocker recliner and a sewing table, those would be her needs for long-term use of the RV.
So do whatever fits your needs.
Just make sure that whatever DP you choose, the couch you want to take out can come out, and is not hiding utilities. Less likely to be a problem with a DP than with a smaller motorhome, but sometimes buyers planning modifications fail to check.
