300HP Cummins ISB 6.7 Palazzo, 24K lbs 35ft long, 11.6MPG running 63 - 65mph towing Jeep wrangler on pretty flat roads. Going to play with Allison mode button this coming season on a long trip. Heard stories of 13+MPG in that mode...
Very unlikely that the Allison transmission in economy mode will give you that kind of MPG.
Flat roads= best MPG.
Economy mode makes little to no difference on flat roads (i.e. you are in high gear in either mode all the time).
Yes, economy mode will aid MPG in rolling hills and mountains, but you will not do better than on flat ground in those conditions.
And that information did come from another Palazzo owner I know personally and he drove his across the country. Somewhere on the order of 8000 miles last summer. So, he might be telling a fish story, but we will see. His Palazzo is the 33.2. Mine is a tad bit heavier 35.1. Might be plausible with what he's got. But mine, last season's best was 11.6 from NC to Florida on I 95. So yeah, pretty flat! But yeah, 11.6 is not bad considering I had a 6.0 F350 pulling a 40ft 16K lb fiver before this and the best I could squeeze out of that was 8MPG, if I was lucky. 4:30 gears, but it pulled like a scalded dog! :)
