Unidentified Lever

I've recently purchased a 2003 Damon Ultra Sport, 40ft, Cat Pusher. (3126). The man who owned it before me passed away and he was the one who knew the coach. He put on this turn off lever for some purpose and I'm just not sure why? I think it may have to do with the thermostat or dash heater or AC. I'm going to try to post a few pics so you can see. Thanks all!8uDlOZ3l.jpg IMG

  • Agree, shut off for dash heater core.

    Easy to tell:

Get engine up to operating temperature.

With valve closed (perpendicular to hoses), turn dash heater on high and temperature to max heat. After a couple of minutes, check temperature out the dash HVAC system.

Stop and open valve and recheck temperature out the dash HVAC system.
  • Steve, I will try that! you and i were typing the same thing at the same time!

Looks like a valve that would turn off or on the coolant to the heater core.

  • That looks like a heater core shut off valve to stop hot water from going into the heater core. It looks like it is closed. Try your dash heater and see if any heat comes out of it.
