Uniroyal tires

Things have changed with our new tires.....have been told they cannot get Michelin tires so Uniroyals were put ont. (2008 Diesel Phaeton).
Any good or negative thoughts about Uniroyal? Thanks.
  • I know that I haven't use on a coach but
have used uniroyals on my 2500 HD and a #12500 fifth wheel and loved them, Had Bridgestone on truck before I put the Uniroyals and preferred the Uniroyals for ride and traction
  • Uni, Roy, and Al appreciate your business!

I'm sure that the tires will be fine. Just make sure that they are the proper weight rating (Load Range/Plies) and keep them inflated to what the manufacturer recommends based on your loading. I see lots of Class 7 and 8 trucks with them.

My thoughts are that all tires are basically the same, unless they don't have a US DOT certification number on them, of course.
There is one basic difference, however and that's the price, with someone having to pay for the big time marketing, the top brands always have. Funny and if you're the best, why do you have to advertise 1000 times more, than the brands, that are the least heard of and supposedly inferior to yours?

I went to a tire called a GT-radial there $415 $ per tire cheaper than Michelin so 2500$ cheaper for a set
  • Our Local Tire dealer got us a new pair of Michelin XA2s last week.
  • Those are the best tiers you can put on a 2008 Diesel Phaeton. Enjoy them. :B
  • Who is they I find that hard to believe - did you look into the FMCA program
They have both Michelin and Continental - this tells me a lot right there
