Pump was dying, causing lots of engine run problems from lack of fuel to the engine
I thought that may be the case. I dropped mine in my garage with two floor jacks, air tools and good lighting. It was a job. My tank was half full and it took all of the morning and part of the afternoon to get the fuel pumped out using the generator pump that I hotwired. Filled all my cars and all my gas cans. Mine was designed so the back jacks were in the way of one of the straps. That sucked.
Be sure and look at that generator fuel line. Like I said, mine was cracked from the generator all the way to the top of the tank. I could have spliced it but that would have left about a foot of old line on top of the tank so I pulled it down and replaced it all.
