Update on travel from WI to Palm Springs

In November I asked for suggestions on routes. As it turned out the weather was cold but dry so we took 35 to Wichita and then cut across to Tucumcari on the street shot two lane road 100. Great suggestion. Nice drive and saved time. We took 40 to Flagstaff and dropped down to Phoenix. Stayed over night in Camp Verde at Distant Drums. Neat area and nice campground. Dinner at Casino was great. Took bypass nearest to Phoenix and had no problem and then to 10 and on to Palm Springs. Nice trip. Weather was good so that made it easy. Thanks for all the ideas and alternatives had weather been an issue.
