I have driven both a gas rig and a DP. No comparison. My gas rig was loud, and difficult to drive. My DP is quiet and easy to drive. I should know I have a CDL. Gas rigs are basically built on medium duty truck chassis and DP rigs are built on air ride bus chassis. Not the same thing. They are engineered very differently. One is intended for passenger comfort and ride and the other to haul freight. Oh and yes my gas rig had the suspension upgrades etc.
