I think I answered this elsewhere.. You said the chassis has a 10,000 CGVW rating (you may have put it in a different order) This means the Motor home and trailer, combined, loaded, must not weigh more than 10,000 pounds.
How you can do that and still overload a 5,000 pound receiver I do not know, I know I can't and my CGVW rating is 26,000.
Or did you mis-type.
As answered before, no I did not mis-type, so again for you......If you look at post #1 again, you are the one that changed the lettering around (CGWR) I did not (GCWR)
As printed on Newmars web site:
GVWR = 31,000 # (TOTAL THE COACH CAN WEIGH)
GCWR = 41,000 # (TOTAL COMBINED WEIGHT OF THE COACH AND WHAT YOU ARE TOWING)
UVW = 25,715 #(AS WEIGHED WHEN NEW EMPTY)
NCC = 5,285 # (ALLOWED WEIGHT TO CARRY ON CHASSIS)
When you subtrack the GVWR from the GCWR = 10,000#
I looked up a little info. on your Coach as listed in your profile:
Your GVWR = 22,000#
Your GCWR = 26,000#
So with this in mind if you are towing "anything over" 4,000# ....you are over loaded your Coach Chassis...... http://www.rvweb.com/guides/manufacturers/damon_corporation/models/2005_intruder-1097791675578
