Well, as the gummint becomes more invasive and makes up stupid stuff to appease some special interest group forsaking the majority, more people will adopt this attitude. It's easier to obey laws that make sense and those that you can see a reason for. Rather than prohibit a particular source of noise, the signs should say "Noise sensitive area - please be considerate". The signs in my neighborhood growing up said "Slow Children". I often thought that the gummint was being cruel calling us slow.
