Used Motorhomes
Having owned several used motor homes, and reading this forum. It appears new motor homes have as many problems as used.I think the used ones have the bugs worked out.

I've bought 2 new MH's and then 1 used one. One of the new ones was great and one had so many problems it was unusable for 2 years. After years 2 we finally had the problems fixed and then it was OK for another year. But during the 3rd year we kept a tow truck on speed dial just in case. It left a very sour taste in our mouth. We almost gave up RV'ing.
The next MH was used and it has been good. The prior owner had not maintained it to the level we liked so we brought it up to our level. Now we have it in for some updates, but not fixes. I will not buy new again. I'll let someone else work out the bugs.
New warranties don't seem to have a lot of value to me. Dealers can't fix many of the problems with MH's and the factory is a long way away. And factory scheduling has to be done well in advance. I want to be able to determine when and where we go with our MH and not have it determine it for me.
