I think he's just trying to be funny based on the title of the thread.

We carry two mobility scooters that we bought on Craigslist for less than $600 each. One had only been used a couple of times, the other was in good shape with new batteries.

Both of them breakdown into 6 pieces which can be put in storage compartments or inside the RV. Easy to disassemble and goes back together in about 10 minutes.

We bought awnings that clamp on so they look like single seater golf carts. We use them to get around the RV resorts and to head over to nearby restaurants or stores.

Motorhome magazine has a towable dinghy guide year by year for the likely vehicles. in your weight limit you can even get a little Jeep 4x4.

A Smart car is an easy light weight tow vehicle. I am not certain, but it might be light enough such that you won't need a secondary braking system. A Smart is a lot safer to drive than a scooter. You stay dry in the rain, are warm in the cold, and cool in the heat. And it is so very easy to park.

This is a Smart car. They are very affordable now that they are available in used condition. We rented one on the Greek island of Santorini. I was impressed.

Our 2012 Chevy Sonic sedan works very well and weighs 2700 lbs. Yet has nice ride, handling, etc and averages 30 MPG. If you want an auto trans., your choices are limited to 4 or 5 unless you get a pretty old one.

I don't tow it, but I do have a Honda Fit and it's a great small car. The manual Fits of any year can be flat towed, and the automatics can be prior to the newest rendition of it (when they switched from a conventional automatic to a CVT).

There are a good many smallish cars that are well under 3500 pounds that could be towed with a tow dolly, if not flat towed.

We tow a Subaru Forester with our Prism, which also has a 3500# limit - car comes in about 3200#. Newer (post 2015, I believe), even as manual tranny, are no longer recommended for towing, but ours is a 2009. We opted for the ReadyBrute tow system by NSA - provides surge braking, no brake box on car floor - weighs less, and even less costly! Works very well.

I would like to find (or build) a fiberglass body dune buggy (Meyers Manx style) to tow. Should, even with a hardtop, weigh only about 1200 lbs max. My early View has "the worlds weakest transmission" in it, so I don't want to tow much. Second choice would be a Smart 4 Two, about 1900 lbs and probably on an aluminum trailer, for a total of around 2400 lbs. I'm not a fan of flat towing a Smart after some of the tales I've read. (and the aluminum trailer would be handy around the house to replace my old 5x10 lawn service type trailer.
