A Smart car is an easy light weight tow vehicle. I am not certain, but it might be light enough such that you won't need a secondary braking system. A Smart is a lot safer to drive than a scooter. You stay dry in the rain, are warm in the cold, and cool in the heat. And it is so very easy to park.
This is a Smart car. They are very affordable now that they are available in used condition. We rented one on the Greek island of Santorini. I was impressed.
