water bypass

i'm confused , my swan water bypass, "normal flow" or "bypass flow"
when do I use the normal flow - - when I hook up at a full hookup site
and put the water hose from campsite to motorhome, do I leave the
valve at normal flow? Then if I don't have water hook up and am using
my water storage, do I change it to bypass ?? thanks

  • Is this on a water panel/utility panel outside of rig?

    Or

Is this a 'valve' on backside of water heater inside rig?

Water heater.....turn valve to normal flow and leave it there for city water and pump use.
'Bypass flow' will bypass water heater (no water will go into water heater...no water in /no hot water out). This position is used when 'winterizing' water heater.

Make sure water heater is full of water before trying to heat with electric or propane
  • Bypass is for bypassing water heater when winterizing water system. Otherwise it is left in the normal position.
